Inquiry-Based and Problem-Based Learning

Problem-Based Learning Clearinghouse
The Problem-Based Learning Cearinghouse was established with funding from the Pew Charitable Trusts, the University of Delaware, and the Unidel Foundation, to expand the use of problem-based learning throughout the university and to create a national clearinghouse of materials on PBL, an instructional method that challenges students to "learn to learn," working cooperatively in groups to seek solutions to real world problems. The PBL Clearinghouse is a collection of peer-reviewed problems and articles to assist faculty in using PBL. Teaching notes and supplemental materials accompany each problem. Access to the Clearinghouse collection is limited to educators with academic affiliations and is prohibited to students. Educators must register; however, registration is free and carries no obligation.

AAC&U offers these resources only as possible models of interest and has not submitted each of them to any substantial peer or quality review. If you have questions about any particular resource, please contact the institution sponsoring it directly.
