Association of University Professors (AAUP) - Committee on Governance
Since 1916, the American Association of University Professors has been concerned with ensuring meaningful faculty participation in institutional governance. In addition to this collection of resources on their Web site, the AAUP staff provides advice and assistance to faculty members throughout the country regarding matters of academic governance.

Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis Tenure and Promotion Guidelines
Developed in 1995 and reviewed and revised annually by the IUPUI Campus Promotion and Tenure Committee and the Dean of the Faculties, these guidelines are intended to assist faculty in the preparation of dossiers for promotion and tenure.Dossier topics include teaching and performance, research and professional development, professional service, and university service and citizenship.IUPUI has substantially changed its promotion and tenure system to reward community involvement.

Project Colleague, New England Resource Center for Higher Education (NERCHE)
As part of the Program on Faculty Professional Service and Academic Outreach, NERCHE has begun Project Colleague, a three-year endeavor that aims to create and strengthen team-building techniques and organizational change strategies crucial for faculty engaging in collaborative outreach projects. Project Colleague will create cadres of faculty from campuses around the country who will work with colleges and universities, as well as professional and disciplinary associations. Project Colleague trainers will offer workshops, consultations and presentations, in addition to publications, to faculty members and administrators. The goal is to strengthen the capacity of different groups, units, and individuals with different kinds of expertise to perform as teams.

Peer Review, Spring 2001 - Academic Governance: Charting a New Course
AAC&U's Peer Review provides a quarterly briefing on emerging trends and key debates in undergraduate education. Each issue is focused on a specific topic, provides comprehensive analysis, and features campus perspectives. The Spring 2001 issue featured many articles about acadmic governance, some of which are still available online.
